School of Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing Signs Strategic Cooperation Agreement with Hunan CHY New Energy Co., Ltd.

    On August 8, the school‑enterprise strategic cooperation signing ceremony was held between our university’s School of Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing and Hunan CHY New Energy Co., Ltd.Liu Wenhua, Vice‑President of the university, heads of relevant functional departments and the School of Robotics and Intelligent Manufacturing; Zhang Huaguo, outstanding alumnus and Chairman of Hunan CHY New Energy Co., Ltd., together with the corporate management team attended the event. Huang Xiaobo, Director of the Alumni Liaison and Social Cooperation Office, presided over the ceremony.

    The signing marks a key move for the university to tap alumni resources and advance industry‑education integration. It elevates bilateral ties from ad‑hoc project collaboration to comprehensive, in‑depth and regular strategic cooperation. Both sides will contribute to the high‑quality economic and social development of Huaihua and industrial global outreach under the Belt and Road Initiative.

    Tang Zhiwei, Party Secretary of the School, stated that boasting provincial featured disciplines and key research platforms, the school has solid strengths in intelligent control, intelligent manufacturing and robotics. Its disciplinary research matches well with the new‑energy layout of the alumni‑run enterprise, laying a sound foundation for joint talent training, research and achievement transformation.

    Alumnus Zhang Huaguo expressed gratitude to his alma mater. As one of Hunan’s Top‑100 New‑Energy Enterprises in Xiangxi, CHY New Energy specializes in R&D and production of lithium‑ion batteries, energy‑storage equipment and BMS systems with established overseas presence. As a local entrepreneur graduated from Huaihua University, he cares deeply about the university and its students. The cooperation enables the enterprise to leverage the university’s research and talent strengths for technological breakthroughs, while fulfilling social responsibility to support alma mater’s talent cultivation and discipline development. The company will provide internships and jobs, build an alumni‑enterprise training platform and support research commercialization.

    Liu Wenhua spoke highly of this alumni‑driven partnership. He noted it is a landmark industry‑education project for the start of the university’s 15th Five‑Year Plan. The university will make full use of alumni industrial resources, seize new‑energy opportunities and build an integrated teaching‑research‑production talent‑training system. The school shall deepen joint innovation, build training bases and develop industrial technologies. Faculty and students are encouraged to engage in real‑world industrial scenarios and translate research into practical outputs, striving to set a model of win‑win industry‑education collaboration empowered by alumni resources.
